Is the smoke from a charcoal grill harmful to pregnant women?

A friend of mine owns an indoor charcoal grill restaurant and is needing a bartender. I am 3 months pregnant and I am just worried that being stuck behind a bar, where the indoor grill is, maybe bad for the baby and I. Does anyone know any further information to help me make this decision?

any smoke is bad for teh baby, but its not as abd as tobacco smoke ( no nicostine) as long is the place si relaly well ventilated i wouldn’t worry. i also recommend asking your doctor or teh nurse at your doctors….even if tehy won’t see you yet they’ll still answer questions via phone
no hun it really isn’t all that harmful. Just take breaks and get fresh air, don’t linger around the grill when you don’t need to be and you and your baby will be fine.
As long as the kitchen is ventilated, there is no potential harm.
No, grill smoke won’t harm your baby. The reason cigarette smoke is harmful for baby is because the nicotine absorbs into the bloodstream and can pass on to the baby. Grill smoke doesn’t have nicotine so you should be fine. If you do take the job, make sure to get some air and take breaks, the smoke could give you a headache. (it did for me when I was pregnant)
Best of luck!
