@survivalist911 watch the video on how to make the? cookstove if you already haven’t. It’s just the base of the can. Instead of using the can opener to cut from the top, you cut around the side.
Tin cans these days have a? lining of bisphenol A inside them.
I like how it’s not inside the? can.
how long will the tin last? Will the flames have an effect on its thin metal layer over multiple? uses?
Great work!
I am thinking that, if you fold that flue flap inward, it would create a baffle to direct the flames across the entire bottom of the pot before? exiting the flue hole?
This may make it more difficult to add more fuel though.
what’s with the techno music? and? he said everything was wet after he said it’s all dry and brittle :/ hmmmm
Awesome video! I intend on trying this? but in the dead of winter, THANX!!!!!!!!!!
Ace !? Great doco
I like? it.
lotsa thoughts on all this, but pretty cool. i suppose one would have to be somewhat careful here, i can see “Adding more Sticks n’ Kindling under our very light, delicate and probably “wobbly” little Tin, there in the fire. and? of course, our precious little water cup on top. would suck in one’s hands bumped or offset said delicate little arrangement there in the pit. which brings me to Point #2: i heard your “ouch” as you touched the cup there. gonna need an Ovenglove i imagine huh?
the? best thing i ve ever seen!!!!!!!!!!!
greetings from austria!!!!
sorry my english isnt so good
@DARTAGNANS170 It? gets burnt out the first few minutes it’s lit.
@drumdude46 Because of the way it’s cut, the lid tin sits pretty snug, hence the need for the flu flap. You can stabilize it better by digging a 6 inch hole in the ground and setting it inside. I often cover the base in dirt to make it more stable. The fire under the stove is just to get it lit since you feed it through the flu so it doesn’t need to breath. Ya, those ceramic covered cups stay pretty hot for a while. I use copper now because? it cools faster.
@gabemjr Bark was dry, branches were wet. It had rained the night before and was just starting? to dry.
Thank You! Liked, Shared, Tweeted…?
Hey, sweet video on the stove. After watching it We actually went and made one lol. Thanks for the? information.
Joe and Zach
Brilliant video! Thanks for sharing!?
That’s? a lot of work to boil one cup of water.
Great vid because I was really? set on alcohol stoves
In a survival situation, that tin would’ve been better left intact. You could’ve cooked food and boiled water in it. It also? would’ve been useful for gathering foliage and collecting water.
GIT THE HELL AWAY FROM MY TIN!!!
Excellent video on how to go about making a small fire for? cooking. I like you stove. Well designed and it seems like it works quite well. Thanks for the demo.
I use methylated? spirits
Blimey. All that for a? cuppa tea.
